The article presents the results of a study of the state and development of cooperative land management in the Krasnodar Territory (KK). The main focus is on modern agricultural technology and the role of government support in increasing agricultural productivity through the use of cooperation. The empirical basis of the study was data on three agricultural consumer cooperatives in our region: «Vozrozhdenie», «Soyuz» and «Mir», with differences in specialization and area of cultivated land. A comparative analysis of the efficiency of land use in cooperatives and individual farms has been carried out, the advantages of the cooperative model have been identified, with great opportunities to reduce unit costs due to a large-scale effect and compensate for losses in reduced productivity due to production diversification. The paper examines the technological solutions used by these cooperatives, assessed by economic indicators of yield, cost, profitability, and the export segment. The impact of government support measures on the dynamics of key indicators is analyzed: it is shown that the growing participation in government support programs allows cooperatives to increase yields by 20–25%, reduce the share of unused land by 15–20%, increase profitability by 8–12% and increase exports by 10–15%. The main existing barriers to the development of cooperatives, such as administrative, financial, infrastructural, personnel, and climatic risks, have also been identified. The results of the study are of practical importance for the development of regional agricultural cooperation support programs, improvement of state support mechanisms and the formation of strategies to increase the efficiency of land use in the agricultural sector of the regional economy.
