As part of the research conducted between 2022 and 2024, the results of a comprehensive assessment of potato breeding numbers in the soil and climatic conditions of Yakutia were obtained. The purpose of the research is to comprehensively study potato hybrids, test them according to the breeding process scheme, and select economically valuable hybrids to create qualitatively new adaptive potato varieties. The study used new potato hybrids: 278 (Irbitsky x Dubrava), 256 (Bronnetsky x Krepysh), and 252 (Kolobok x Tabor) (Yak). The standard varieties were the local potato varieties Varmas and Yakutyanka. The meteorological conditions during the study years were diverse, allowing for a comprehensive evaluation of the potato varieties. The plants reached a height of 49.0 to 58.5 cm. The highest number of tubers per bush was formed by hybrid 252 (Kolobok x Tabor (Yak)) – 7.2 tubers per bush. The studied breeding numbers showed yields ranging from 10.4 to 16.0 t/ha. The disease resistance of promising hybrids was also studied, and the chemical composition of the tubers and the yield of full-sized tubers after winter storage were determined. As a result of the analysis of economically valuable traits, a promising hybrid of local breeding 252 (Kolobok x Tabor (Yak)) was identified. The increase in yield was 3.8 – 9.4 t/ha to the standard Varmas variety – 9.4 t/ha, to the Yakutyanka variety – 8.6 t/ha, the yield of full-fledged tubers after winter storage -95.3%. The plants of these hybrids have a stem type, the plant is semi-erect, reaching a height of 58 cm, with 3-4 stems per bush, the leaves are medium-sized, light green, and slightly wavy; most of them form eyes on the surface, and the shape of the tuber varies from round to round-oval, the tubers are yellow with light yellow flesh. The analysis results showed that all the selected varieties have a high marketability of tubers, ranging from 94.0% to 98.0%.
