The results of potato variety testing (2020-2022) are presented. The purpose of the study is to identify potato varieties suitable for cultivation in the extreme conditions of Yakutia, which are resistant to the most common potato diseases and have the ability to produce large numbers of flowers and berries, making them suitable for use as mother and father forms in breeding. Parameters: yield of 15.0 tons per hectare or more, high commercial and consumer qualities. The meteorological conditions during the study years were diverse, which allowed for a comprehensive assessment of the studied varieties. The potato plants reached a height of up to 59.8 cm. The Kamensky variety had the highest number of main stems, with 4.3 stems per plant, while the Varmas variety had the lowest number of stems, with 3.2 stems per plant. The Ladozhsky variety had 3.2 stems per plant. The coefficient of variation is 17.1%, which is average. The assimilation surface of the leaves of a single potato plant varies from 0.42 to 0.78 m²/plant, depending on the year of the study. The largest assimilation area of leaves was formed by the varieties Razolind, Tabor, Aurora, Handsome 0.74 – 0.78 m2/bush in 2020, and the smallest variety Krepysh – 0.40 m2/bush in 2022. The average assimilation surface area of leaves in standard varieties Tulunsky early 0.46 m2/bush – 0.65 m2/bush, varieties Warmas 0.43 m2/bush – 0.46 m2/bush (2020 – 2022). The studied varieties had a yield of 10.0 to 23.0 t/ha and a marketability of 92–97%. The varieties Tulunsky Ranniy, Razolind, Slavyanka, Yakutyanka, Ladozhsky, and Tabor were selected based on their dry matter content, starch content, vitamin C content, and nitrate content in potato tubers. These varieties are valuable sources of economically valuable traits and can be used in potato breeding as parent forms. The linear regression coefficient (bi), which characterizes the ecological plasticity of the variety, and the standard deviation from the regression line (Sd2), which determines the stability of the variety in different environmental conditions, have been calculated.
