The article examines the role of econometric methods in the controlling system as a key tool for supporting managerial decision-making. It is shown that the use of modern statistical technologies, regression analysis, optimization methods and expert assessments can significantly improve the validity of planning, the quality of control and the accuracy of forecasting. Based on the analysis of data from 20 industrial and financial companies for the period 2020–2023, positive dynamics of key performance indicators after the implementation of controlling procedures supported by econometric modeling was revealed. The conclusion is made about the need to integrate specialized software into corporate information systems.
