The article analyzes the priority directions of scientific and technological development of the crop production industry of the Novosibirsk region. These areas include breeding and seed production, organic farming, digitalization and robotization. It is revealed that breeding work in the industry is widely represented by research and development of scientific institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences. However, the level of use of original and elite seeds in the region remains quite low. Digitalization of agricultural production is one of the main trends in the modern world. In crop production, this direction is more evident through precision farming technologies. In the Novosibirsk region, about 12% of agricultural machinery in the region is equipped with digital systems, and 125 farms use elements of "smart agriculture". All greenhouse plants use innovative technologies of low-volume hydroponics, partial robotization and digitalization of the processes of growing crops of protected soil. Another direction of scientific and technological development of the industry is organic and biologized agriculture. There is a significant potential for its development in the region – more than 65 thousand hectares are fallow lands with a high level of natural fertility and suitable for introduction into circulation for organic farming. Currently, only two agricultural producers of the region are certified according to international standards "organic". Despite the fact that the region has the largest manufacturer of biological products for crop production – Sibbiopharm.
