The article substantiates the author's proposals on land management support for the development of rural settlements within the boundaries of suburban administrative-territorial entities. The article examines trends in the state and development of rural settlements of the Perm Municipal District of the Perm Territory, which forms the territorial basis of the suburban zone of a large city - Perm. It has been established that the process of development of settlements, regulated by general plans, planning projects, land use and development rules, and other urban planning documents, requires comprehensive land management support. This requires the entire system of practical actions on land management, including pre-project documents - regional and municipal land management schemes, territorial and intra-farm project documents. Among the latter, the main ones should be considered projects for establishing and changing the boundaries of settlements, projects for land and economic management of the territory, projects for the formation of land uses for various purposes, land redistribution projects, land surveying projects, intra-farm land management projects, land reclamation projects and other working land management projects. A forecast of land use in settlements of the Perm municipal district until 2035 has been made. The results of design decisions on the placement of social facilities and the allocation of agricultural land for the construction of a communications facility are presented using one of the most dynamically developing settlements of the municipal district as an example. The indicators of the land redistribution project have been substantiated. The relationship between urban planning and land management documents in the process of developing settlements of the suburban municipal district has been shown. Measures have been proposed to develop modern land management in rural settlements under the influence of a large city. Recommendations have been formulated on land management support for the process of territorial development of rural settlements.
