This scientific article examines the impact of geopolitical risks on the reorientation of the Russian economy in the context of an aggravated international situation. The emphasis is on the analysis of the transformation of priorities of state economic policy towards industrialization, restoration of production potential and strengthening of strategically important industries. It is noted that in the new conditions, special attention is paid not only to projects aimed at improving the well-being of the population and supporting small and medium-sized businesses, but also to large-scale initiatives for the development of industry, technological sovereignty and import substitution. The Government of the Russian Federation uses the challenges that have arisen as a basis for the transition to a new stage of economic mobilization and the formation of a sustainable domestic production base. The article uses a set of scientific methods, including an analysis of scientific literature, a review of public statements by key political figures, the method of analogies, modeling and theoretical understanding of ongoing economic processes. The results obtained allow us to conclude that geopolitical risks, with competent state policy, can act not only as a source of threats, but also as an incentive for structural changes aimed at strengthening economic sovereignty and increasing the resilience of the national economy to external influences.
